Men’s Premier Soccer League Announces New Teams to Join the League in 2004
The Men’s Premier
Soccer League is pleased to announce the addition of six new teams to join
the MPSL for the 2004 season. The expansion of the league will include teams
from Albuquerque, New Mexico; Idaho Falls, Idaho; and San Diego, Santa Rosa,
Salinas and Sacramento California. The new teams will join the inaugural
members of the MPSL from Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona; Chico, California;
Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada; and Salt Lake City, Utah.
“We are excited about
the expansion of the Men’s Premier Soccer League,” says Marketing
Commissioner Ralph Hansen, “The addition of these teams add a new level of
competition to the league that will benefit our existing teams and continue
to improve soccer in the Western Region.”
The Men’s Premier
Soccer League will be announcing the 2004 game schedule for the 12 team
league in the first part of January, with games beginning in April 2004. The
MPSL, whose inaugural season began in 2003, is focused on providing high
level competitive soccer to amateur status players who compete on collegiate
teams in the fall.

The Men's Premier Soccer League (MPSL) is a regional men's soccer
league (currently made-up from teams in the western states of California,
Arizona, Nevada, and Utah) formed in 2002, designed to provide men with a
highly competitive league, playing a minimum of 16 to a maximum 20 regular
season games. The teams are comprised of players who play at the highest
levels of soccer. The United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) as an
