Help! Soccer + Period = Trouble!!!?
Help me! I have a big soccer game tomorrow. I am the team’s star goalie. And I have a period problem. My mom won’t let me use tampons and I don’t like running around in pads. They are like gigantic diapers. Plus my friend’s pad fell out once when she was running. Help. How can I play soccer without a tampon?

It isn’t your mom’s business what you use to stay clean and comfortable on your period. You stopped living in *her* body many years ago, and the one you’re in now is *yours*.
Tampons or menstrual cups (see http://thekeeper.com ) are your only reasonable options, and if you’re willing to accept your mother’s ridiculous rule about tampons, you can just forget about playing soccer while you’re having your flow.
It’s really that simple.
