Led SSU to the 2002 NCAA
championship, where he was named Most Valuable Player of
the tournament, played one season with the California Gold of the USL
Pro Select League.
He proceeded to lead the nation in scoring and
was named 2002 Second Division Pro National
Rookie of the Year after an outstanding debut
season as a professional with 16 goals and
6
assists. A four-year performer for Sonoma State, Bussard
ended his career with 28 goals
and
18 assists, both in the school’s all-time top ten. His 12
assists
in the 2002 season were
the
third highest total in SSU history.
Scored a record 163 goals in high school and was 3-time
high school
MVP and 2-time Redwood Empire player of the year. Favorite player is Rudd Van
Nistelrooy.
He likes to eat pasta and enjoys all kinds of music. Predicts
his World Cup favorite
