2005 NPSL National Championship Results

July 31, 2005  Final Score after two 15 minute overtime periods: Sol 0 Detroit 1.  Detroit slotted home a shot just inside the left post in the overtime period.  The goal was scored by the leading scorer of the NPSL Midwest division, Ablaye Camara (originally from Ghana).

Sol played a great game against Detroit but were unlucky with their shots and Detroit played a great defensive game.  Detroit’s goalkeeper, Alex Lubyansky (from the Ukraine) was the MVP of the match for the Arsenal.

Outstanding games were had by all Sol players, including but not limited to goalkeeper Eric Kronberg, central defender CJ Sigler, defenders Michael Briceno and Justin Delacruz and Scott Preckwinkle, midfielders Andres Flores and Chris Daly, and forwards David Briceno, Brandon Boone and Tony Bussard.
